Cheese and lentil wedges

Another baby-led weaning book recipe. Baby loved these, and they had a great texture for him, so I could squash them back together when he’d crumbled them. Halved the recipe though as it made an insane amount. Fed baby two pieces each picnic. I baked it in a load tin and cut it into 10. Wouldn’t be confident of being able to freeze these.

112g red lentils

50g grated cheese

1 onion

1 tsp dried herbs (I used thyme)

1 egg, beaten

Black pepper

Cook the lentils in a saucepan in boiling water (takes about 10-15 mins)

Fry the onion slowly

Drain the lentils

Put the lentils in a Mixing bowl with the rest of the ingredients and mix well

Push into a lined loaf tin

Bake for 30 mins
