Peanut butter brownies

These are delicious! I made them for panther’s preschool summer fair, because although they weren’t ideal, I had all the ingredients in the house and didn’t have to go to morrisons! They are very tasty though, hope at least some were sold! The original recipe is from good food magazine. My only change is not to bother drizzling chocolate on the top because it doesn’t seem worthwhile (and it’s such a small amount of chocolate that it burnt when I was heating it… In the microwave because I’m so lazy)

175g peanut butter
150g dark chocolate
280g soft light brown sugar
3 eggs
100g sr flour

And for the topping…
50g peanut butter

Gently Melt peanut butter, chocolate and sugar in a pan, stirring occasionally, until just melted
Take off heat and stir in eggs (recipe says wooden spoon, I used metal as easier to wash!)
Stir in flour
Scrape into a small, square, lined tin
Melt remaining peanut butter in microwave on high for 45 seconds
Drizzle it all over the brownie
Bake for 30-35 mins until it has a slight crust but is still a little gooey inside

Apparently cuts into 16 squares for 250 calories each. I use a square tin so normally get about 12 which would be 333 calories each, which doesn’t seem bad for such a delicious and easy brownie!
