Chris’s pastry recipe is good but wanted t see if I could make a sturdier one by including an egg. I think it is a little sturdier, so good if you’re making pasties to take out on a picnic (this pastry was used for some delicious leftover chilli pasties which we will be taking to the zoo on Monday). However, probably worse for you.
250g plain flour
Mix flour and butter in food processor
Add the egg and mix until a ball forms
Use as required (made 7 pasties but I couldn’t be bothered rolling the pastry so it was quite thick!)
