Flapjack

I don’t normally make flapjack as it can’t be frozen and I like it too much. This decision was proved correct as I ate tons of it! Based on this recipe but I put flour in place of some of the oats, mainly because i Ran out of oats, but would do this again as it gave it a chewy, cakey texture. Enjoyed by all!

125g porridge oats (used jumbo which were nice but would use normal cheapo ones if I had them)
125g flour (can’t remember which though, whoops)
125g butter
125g brown sugar
2-3 tbsp golden syrup

Melt butter, sugar and golden syrup in a pan over a low heat
Mix in the flour and oats
Line a loaf tin (used because I have liners which makes it really easy) , grease well (spray) and bake

Recipe says bake it for 20 mins. Mine took nearly an hour though. Found it really hard to know when to take it out, as it was a lovely gooey texture. Use your judgement, maybe take out around 40 mins
